成为COSTCO会员起码近20年了。对它家的价格和服务都还算满意。这次发生了一件事,让我对它家更是刮目相看。
一年多前,在COSTCO买了一个CUISINART电压力锅。老婆喜欢用它作粥,主要优点是可以定时和保温。比如晚上临睡前把它设置好,第二天一早就有热乎乎的粥喝,很省事。
前几天,那锅突然就坏了。插上电源就是没反应。在确定了不是电源线和电源插座的问题后,我大概看了一下里边,基本是电线和集成版,没看到有容易更换的保险。
好在包装盒,说明书,发票都还在,看了一下保修期,是三年。
既然还在保修期,那就给厂家打电话。还算好,基本没等几分钟就有真人接电话。把情况大致介绍了,那边跟我要了产品序列号,然后确认产品还在保修期内。不过她说这个三年保修是有限保修,意思是厂家不负责运杂费。我的唯一选择是:先交10刀运出费,厂家会寄给我一另外一个锅,然后我要把旧的锅寄回厂家。我问寄回去大概要多少钱,她说不清楚 (每天做这工作,会没有个大概的概念?)我说我可以自己查,你告诉我这锅大概多重就行。她说约 13磅。
我想收我10 刀运费,那回邮应该也不会贵多少。也还能接受,就给了信用卡号。也收到了回邮的地址。
完事后我到邮局的网站一查,才知道回邮最便宜的也要33刀。就是说为了保修一个70刀买的锅,我要自己出43刀。忒过分了!
难道就我一个人这么想?谷歌了一下对该锅的评价,我看到了下边这一条:

A Big Disappointment
Pros: when it worKed it was nice.
Cons: it doesn't last!
" I purchased this about 10 months ago to cooK a daily rice/meat combination for our dogs with food allergies. Initially it seemed to worK well, but after a few months it would reach pressure, and then instead of cooKing for the requisite time, it switched to "Keep warm".
I called customer service and first he told me that I wasn't adding enough water - every day it has 1/2# of meat, 1.5 cups rice and I fill it to the 14 level with water, it's almost impossible to add any more water. Then I asKed about warranty, he told me it was out of warranty - even though the warranty is 3 years (I've had it 10 months). Then he told me I would have to ship it to cuisinart on my own dime, then pay the shipping bacK. I figure it would cost $20 to ship at the USPS. I'm returning it to costco.
Cuisinart used to be a good name. But I'm encountering nothing but trouble with the last few items I've purchased (last problem was broKen panini grill).
So glad for Costco's return policy! "
提醒我的一句话是,这个人要去COSTCO 退货。这么不合理的保修条款,确实应该找COSTCO反映,也让他们下次使用这个厂家时有所考虑。
我拨通COSTCO的客服,大概情况解释了一下,那边表示非常理解,还夸我办事有秩序,包装说明书发票都还在。而且说即使发票已经没有了都没关系,拿到店里立刻全额退款!我都有些不敢相信。
既然如此,我立刻先给CUISINART的客服打电话,告诉他们不要给我邮寄替换的锅了。那边的人听说我这里可以拿到店里退货,也有些不大相信,说你真运气。
昨天晚上去COSTCO, 退锅非常顺利。然后在他家又买了一个另外品牌的电压力锅,这样老婆周末又有锅用了。
有这样好的客服,难怪COSTCO 的生意这么火。我这近20年的会费,也算没白交。
