妈祖即海神天后娘娘，信仰起源于福建， 随着海商传播到台湾， 东南亚沿海地区， 这种信仰海神的海洋文化， 成为“妈祖文化”。 又納入儒家（石山哲理刻字）、佛教（佛座）和道教（依傍青山碧水）双狮临门等元素。
