Gravity on July 13th

Gravity on July 13th

An endless road in a dessert,

Warns me to end my relentless journey.

Stormy wind stirs up dirt,

And scoffs my car as if it were a gurney.

I won’t heed your alert,

For the grave sky is my destiny.

Towards the horizon I race,

For my car is deemed to fly.

In the rain it flies high.

I see raindrops roll up on the windshield.

And fly back into the sky.

Towards the horizon I race,

For my heart is deemed to fly.

I feel tears flow up along my face,

Back into my eyes and leave no trace.
