I read the article “ Bucks County Pa. House candidates invited to forum on education,” written by Andy, on “Bucks County Herald” June 20,2024. Barbara gave me the newspaper.

Ahead of the Nov. 5 election, Bucks County Community College will host “ Candidates Forum: Education in Pennsylvania.”

An open invitation has been extended via email to all 20 candidates running for the 10 Pa. House districts in Bucks County to participate in this live, nonpartisan event focusing on the critical topic of education.

The forum will be moderated by the community college’s longtime social science faculty menber and prolific author Bill Pezza, who will pose questions to participating candidates solicited from the public in the weeks leading up to the forum.

“ Our members as well as the public always want to know more about who their candidates are and what their thoughts are on issues that are important to them and their family—and education is a critical topic across the Bucks County community.”

“As the only public college in the county, Bucks County Community College believes civic engagement is fundamental to the survival of a democracy,” Antoine said. “ Debates and public forums like these strengthen free speech and expand equal opportunity.”

2) I think:

The people elect government officials, and government officials report to the people and listen to their views. This is an important part of a democratic political system.

Elections are a big deal in America. In addition to the quadrennial presidential election this year, there are elections for members of United State Senator , Attorney General and State House...... In addition to the Republicans and the Democrats, there are two smaller parties.

It is good to organize such a forum to discuss some topics before the election.

In addition, Trump and Biden debated publicly, and Trump and Harris also debated publicly.

And the Candidate Eleanor from our district came to our community room twice to ask for our advice and reply our questions.

Voters are required to register before the election. If you register as a Republican (Democrat), you are a Republican (Democrat) and can vote in last year's primary. Unlike China, to join the Communist Party, you have to apply, approve and take an oath...

At present, China is a one-party dictatorship of the Communist Party, and the people are the objects of government control, not the masters of the country. There is no democratic election.
