Everything is unbelievably good! Maybe not everything, most things are beyond my expectation, somewhat too good to believe. Besides satisfaction, while I was in the car driving home, I doubted from time to time whether it was just a 'honeymoon' period...you know, a period that a new incomer would experience, everyone tried to expose their best side to you, be kind, be helpful...any way, I have to admit, the first week has been 'super good', and I did not expect that good, because the workplace I worked for more than a decade did not give me that degree of 'Welcome' when I joined in. A day of induction to the new staff, that was it.
The only thing that I might be slightly unsatisfied with is that I had to work overtime. I bravely negotiated with the College Principal about the possibility of getting in-lieu for my after-hour work but was refused reasonably. Wow, I couldn't complain, and I actually expected that since when you started a new job, you would need to work overtime to get yourself familarise with millions of things. So you can get your head around. I take that!
The people, actually I should call them my colleagues, are so welcoming, caring, loving, and helpful.
I got lost, someone would magically appear at the right time to lead me to the place that I was looking for.
I raised a question, someone I just knew for a minute patiently responded to me to the best they could.
There is even a buddy who helps me at all times. She mentioned briefly that she got asked to. Again, it was completely out of my expectation, all of which sort of fosters my belief that I made the best change -leaping to a new job.
I am looking forward to my 2nd week now.
Hubby said 'I kind of feel you are moving to a new school instead.' (你看着不象换了一个工作单位,到象一小二郎换了一个新学校上学。)
我是挺高兴的。说实话,他要乐意天天在家做home dad, 我也乐意挣钱养家,哈哈
当然一起挣,保险系数更高些。
