4月13日获悉，美国宾夕法尼亚州警方当天表示，当地警方已将宾州州长夏皮罗官邸遭纵火案的嫌疑人拘留。
嫌疑人为38岁的科迪·巴尔默（Cody Balmer），来自宾州哈里斯堡。
夏皮罗当日在媒体发布会上表示，此事是有针对性的，但嫌疑人的具体动机尚不清楚。宾州地方检察官弗兰·查多（Fran Chardo）在新闻发布会上表示，科迪·巴尔默将被指控犯有谋杀未遂、恐怖主义、严重纵火和针对特定人员的严重袭击罪。
目前相关调查仍在进行中。
