一事无成的长周末

这个长周末就两个人在家里过了,本来计划的美美的--做点好吃的,干点工作,休息一下子。但是周五到男友家放眼一看,我就立刻蔫了。厨具不全,调料也没有,冰箱空空的,这我都知道,但是地板上散落的到处都是中餐外卖的宣传单,还有吃了一半的炒面,到处是饮料瓶,脏盘子,让我觉得算了,既然他是不讲究吃的,我也灵感枯竭,索性糊弄糊弄过去了。

还做了炸猪排,土豆洋葱蘑菇汤,炒土豆块,香蕉煎饼--这家伙买了煎饼粉放了四年都不吃,害得我无意之中给他吃了过期食品。不拍照了,流水账记着就行了。土豆加意式调料汁,煮至绵软,撒上胡椒粉,就是很好吃的一道菜。男友不吃土豆丝,真是难伺候。不过他这两天倒是很乖,做什么都吃掉,连那个我觉得没脸见人的煎饼也兢兢业业的吃掉。哎,对他真是生不起气,还得接着做。。



头很痛,据男友说是中费城的毒太深,到新泽西呼吸新鲜空气反而不习惯。。 回家了,立刻就精神了。也许是我那个超迷你的厨房吸引力太大吧,这里一切以我为中心,呵呵。。









烤蛋白,什么都没加,健康,但没什么意思,口感外皮脆,心绵软,不错,看来糖还是得加,不过。。。加冻草莓,微甜,好吃~









pepper chicken with hummus

Makes 4 servings.


Quick Kitchen

1/3 cup olive oil

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled

1 1/2 lb skinless boneless chicken breasts and/or thighs, cut into 2 1/2 -inch pieces

1 red bell pepper, cut lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide strips

1 Italian frying or Cubanelle pepper, cut lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide strips

1 medium red onion, cut lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide strips


1 (8- to 10-oz) container prepared hummus (preferably Sabra spicy or classic)

Accompaniment: toasted pita bread

Preheat broiler.

Line a large shallow baking pan with foil.

Stir together oil, salt, cumin, pepper, and oregano in a large bowl, then toss with chicken and vegetables. Arrange in baking pan without crowding and broil 4 to 6 inches from heat, stirring once, until chicken is just cooked through and vegetables are lightly charred, about 8 minutes. Divide hummus among plates and top with chicken and vegetables.
