不得不说说Accord

I know when I say this some people may jump up because many have this car... What I am doing here is 实话实说.

Last Friday, I went to Hertz to pick up my rental car for this week. The clerk told me all my favored cars were out, there was a 08 Accord if I would like to give it shot. I said sure I would.

The car looked good - sleek looking, 6 cylinder and only 800 miles on it. Once I drove on the road, I instantly found this wasn\'t what I liked - very hard suspension, excessive hard steering wheel... During the weekend, I further found out it had no auto-light, the doors, trunk lid and hood just as thin as you can imagine. They were super light!

I was wondering if I should bring back on Monday morning. I didn\'t do it because I didn\'t want to give Hertz people an impression that I was a picky person as they had known me for years. I was more concerned with my face. When I drove to work and back from OC on Monday afternoon, the gas consumption appeared very fast - with only 120-mile driving the fuel meter showed only half tank left. Normally when I drove along I-5 with Impala, Malibu, Taurus, Buick Lacrosse or Sonata, my speed was typically around 85 mph and handling was easy. But with this Accord, when I reached about 80 mph, I felt the unsafeness, I needed to be very concentrated. I made the decision to change the car and called Hertz. Between face and life, I choose life!

When I got there, they gave me an Impala. I\'ll write a report separately.

Summary of this car:
-Sleek looking
-Powerful V6
-Uncomfortable hard suspensions (I know it was designed that way)
-Too hard on steering wheel
-Hard seats (no cushion)
-No auto light
-Super thin metal
-Excessive fuel consumption
-Noisy particularly for road noise
-Local driving is fine, not suitable for long haul
-Safety concern

When you plan to buy one of those, test drive others before make decisions.
