The predominantly protein breakfast

- Coffee or tea with cream but no sugar

- Citrus, preferably as whole fruit, eaten several minutes before the protein.



- Eggs with butter, eggs with bacon or ham, or an omelette



The predominantly Carbohydrate breakfast

- Any whole fruit - but no citrus juice

- Cereal, preferably whole grain - with milk, not cream


- Toast or bread or crackers, preferably whole grain, with jam, marmalade or honey - but no butter

- Sweet milk or tea or coffee, with sugar but no cream

- No fats, no acid solutions, no high proteins



The predominantly protein lunch or dinner


- Any thin soup or broth

- Meat, fish or eggs

- Liver, kidneys, sweetbreads, tripe

- Leafy vegetables

- Raw, leafy salads


- Oil and vinegar dressing

- Desset - (Cheese, Gelatin with cream, Citrus fruit or other low starch fruit)

- Buttermilk

- Tea or coffee, but no sugar

- No high starches, no sweets




The predominantly carbohydrate lunch or dinner

- Thick or thin soup

- Any vegetables

- baked beans


- Macaroni or spghetti

- Any vegetable or fruit sald

- Any sweet or starchy dessert

- Milk or coffee or tea with sugar, but no cream

- A low-fat ice cream or ice is permissible


- A cocktail, highball, wine, or beer is quite permissible, if desired.
