Think clearly, why you buy, what is the risk, is risk overblown, if price drop, you need to incorporate new information and see if the reason is legitimate or if the reason is overblown, if yes, then buy. Same thing, when price increase, see if the price is increasing for the right reason, does valuation still support it to continue to rise, if yes, no need to wait.

I usually like small cap growth companies, but recession will kill their price (I mean only stock price), so I switched to overly depressed insurers and banks. I am thinking when I should switch back to small cap growth and energy, or I will just use new money to buy, these are ones I like:
