下面这两款Dessert 就是平安夜吃的。
第一款:Creme Brule 这个是每年圣诞节老公要特别做给他大嫂的,因为她很多东西都不能吃,这款是她的最爱。这次老公忙不过来,就抓我做壮丁了。他口述后一遍后就匆匆忙忙又到商店买东西了,我就在家里瞎搅和。最后他赶在我犯错误前回来了,结果就成了他指挥,我做。
做的时候没有找到器皿就用Foil代替了。
吃前先在表面洒点白糖
再用火把糖融化,吃起来脆脆甜甜的
第二款:Bombe aux Trois Chocolats (with hard chocolate cover)
我就吃了两口了,太甜了,难怪美国那么多超级大胖子,甜的吃太多。
过元旦,朋友请我们出去吃饭,约好了,吃完饭再到我家过节。我做Norwegian Hazelnut Cake,老公放烟花,庆祝2009的到来。强力推荐这款蛋糕, Hazelnut 在里面很香,老公说他每星期吃一次都可以。
Norwegian Hazelnut Cake
Cake
2 (21/2-oz.) pkg. Hazelnuts (filberts) or pecans
½ Cup margarine or butter
3 Eggs
11/2 Cups sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla
2 Cups all purpose flour
2 Teaspoons baking powder
¼ Teaspoon salt
Glaze
½ Cup whipping cream
1 (6-oz.) pkg. (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ Teaspoon vanilla
Heat oven to 350 F . Lightly grease bottom only of 10-inch springform pan.
Reserve 8 whole nuts for garnish. In food processor bowl with metal blade or in blender container, process nuts until ground (about 11/3 cups); reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish.
Melt margarine in small saucepan over low heat; cool. In large bowl, beat eggs, sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla until thick and lemon colored, 2 to 3 minutes. Add flour, baking powder, salt and ground nuts; mix well. Continue beating, gradually adding cooled melted margarine until well blended. (Mix-ture will be thick.) Spread batter in greased pan. Bake at 350 F . For 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes; remove sides of pan. Run long knife under cake to loosen from pan bottom; invert onto serving plate. Cover with cloth towel; cool about 30 minutes.
To prepare glaze, in medium saucepan bring whipping cream just to a boil; remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth; add ½ teaspoon vanilla. Spread glaze over top of cake, allowing some to run down sides. Sprinkle reserved ground nuts around top edge of cake; arrange reserved whole nuts over ground nut.
