The Simple Sentence (简单句)
The basic sentence pattern that is in this unit is called a
simple sentence. A simple sentence has one subject (S) and
verb (V) combination (结合). Usually there is a noun or pronoun
object (宾语)(O) or other information after the verb.
Simple sentence: S+V+O (简单句:主+谓+宾)
Subject + Verb + Object + Other Information
Maria Simms plays the piano well.
She practices the piano every day.
Maria likes classical piano music a lot.
She enjoys listening to German music.
Simple sentence: S+V (简单句:主+谓)
Subject + Verb + Object + Other Information
Maria plays extremely极端地 well.
She practices for three hours.
Maria goes to piano class every day.
* Some verbs, such as like and enjoy, must have an object after them.

* Some verbs, such as go and arrive, can never have an object after

Every English sentence must have a subject and a verb.
