Claire and numbers

Claire recently has been kind of into numbers a lot.  She can count from 1 to about 50 in English, 1-40 in Chinese also about 1-20 in Spanish.  She likes to do some simple addition too recently.  We are very often surprised by what she learned at school. 

One day after the evening story time she asked me, "Mommy, do you know that I can count to ten thousand?"  Ten thousand???  It was pretty late at night and it was probably going to take forever for her to get to that big number.  But I didn't have to discourage her since she had been enthusiastic about numbers.  So I said "OK, try it, but it is ok if you can not get to that big number tonight."

"One thousand"
"Two thousand"
"Three thousand"
....
"Ten thousand, mommy I counted to TEN THOUSAND!"

Phew, I have to admit I thought too much.
