What is Chinese 天才?

I am kind of wondering whether it is right to put a person, especially a kid of only a couple of months old or  a couple of years old or a teenager with high IQ or high EQ or a gift as Chinese 天才.  If it is true, how about a person who is  genius and gifted with great talent, high IQ as well as high EQ?
According to Merriam Web Online Dictionary.
GIFT often implies special favor by God or nature. TALENT suggests a marked natural ability that needs to be developed . GENIUS suggests impressive inborn creative ability .
If I am not understanding Chinese wrong, Chinese 天才 mean these of GIFT, TALENT , GENIUS  as well as the so-called IQ and EQ.  I don’t believe that we can simply call a kid of with high IQ or high EQ or gifts in math or reading, writing, etc as Chinese 天才.
What is Chinese 天才?  I don’t know for sure either.  However, I do doubt whether the kids who go to the so-called gifted schools in America are Chinese 天才.  Maybe just  pretty good students.  That’s it.
