my note: I came to across this DVD set at Raymond Library with $4 - I collect the history stuff. Watching it made me  realize freedom came with cost -

Drama · Two friends, one northern and one southern, struggle to maintain their friendship as events build towards the American Civil War.

Governing rule: Leave difference behind. Work on common interest.

History: I saw a documentary that said Patrick Swayza  was relatively unknown when dirty dancing came out. It failed to mention he has a leading role in this!!!

RIP Patrick Swayze and David Carradine.

I miss Patrick sway every.. he died too young.. he's so good in this series?

The reality of American Civil War History can't deny and erase. The conflict created and crisis, between North and South has started the American Civil War from 1861-1865. Is called the American Civil War and has divided  "The North and the South" from 1861-1865. Unfortunately, today Americans also has divided in America the culture, political, religious.., and economic agenda, more than ever before after eight years of the Obama Administration's (2008-2016).

Therefore, many Americans still hold the racism in their hearts by fighting to hold onto the confederate flag. We should all remember where the confederate flag originated from and what it represents, before arguing the case that it is to express “southern” pride. This flag was essentially the identity of the southern states that succeeded and embodies the racist belief that the African man cannot possibly be on equal ground with the more civilized white man.

By the way, the reality of the conflicts to start the American Civil War is not only a slavery case, but behind that also has many issues long standing unresolved and controversy, difference on economic and Trade.., between the Union (the Nationalists) in North and Confederates States in South and this flag only reflects bigot ideals and the remembrance of the thousands of deaths caused by the American Civil War (1861-1865). Will the wound ever really heal even after 150 years.
 
Even if the dead are forgotten. Even if the flag's symbolism is forgotten. Is Impossibly not since there are those “fighting” a war that is long past. Unfortunately, the hateful and racist ideology of these certain in Americans society continues increasingly fester and spread. So why the wound doesn't heal, even the Americans had the revolutionary and changed, by electing our first black president Barack Obama. I suppose all we can do is just wait and see.
