如果您要问蒙特利尔地区的富人区在哪里，很多蒙特利尔人最先想到是Westmount。

这个社区的居民不但在全蒙特利尔地区以生活富裕出名，甚至在全加拿大也是最为富有的。与之相配套的幼儿园、学校、医院、公共服务等，各方面条件都高于本地其它社区。

这个社区还有自己的电力公司(Hydro Westmount)，独立于大家熟悉的Hydro Quebec。

这里还是加拿大军方的重要基地，有34号战斗工兵团、皇家蒙特利尔军团和第34信号团在此驻扎。。。
