I watched a very beautiful movie tonight: Dead poets society. The movie is set in an elite conservative boarding school in 1959. It tells the story of an English teacher Keating. He taught the boys about more than just poetry — he taught them about making the most out of life.
The movie stars Robin Williams as the teacher Keating . He was one of my favorite actors. Mr. Keating was keep encouraging boys "Seize the day. Make your lives extraordinary." In the words of Keating, Robin Williams did indeed lead an extraordinary life.
I am sharing one of my favorite quotes from the movie here:
"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for."
Poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for____ Don’t you agree?
Have you ever wrote a poem? Who is your favorite poet? When is your last time to read a poem?
Thank you for reading. Until next time.
