Been reading After Havana. Had finished 100 pages today. The story is interesting, though it is a bit old, about stories in 1950s, before the Fidel Castro's revolution.
The author had also written another book Ivory Coast, this is his second book in the series. If I finish this one, I will find the other one to start again.
Come to think about it, I still have Da Vinci Code in my pocession that I have not finished reading. I thought of reading that after the Angels & Demons. But I was kind of disappointed at that ending.
After Havana took me back to the times, when I lay on the beach in South East Asia - Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia. The sky was blue, wind was calm, everyone was friendly, time had stopped, everything looks like a huge painting. Life was easy & relaxed. There were always novels laying on the shelves of those backpacker's hotels, B&Bs, we'd have morning coffee, pancakes or roti. We'd also have fresh fish. We'd go diving in the clear water, always amazed by new species on each trip. We all got tanned & healthy.
Gone were the easy days.
Now I can only read & remember.
Good old memories. If I didn't have them, will I be happy now?
