I was a total nerves wreck this morning. I'm glad that's over. Sometimes I think about how self-contradictory I am, like being really low key/profile but love to be the center of attention. I wish the two sides of me (aka night and later that night) get along.
Okay. Before Sunrise. It's a gentle movie. It's emotionally charged though little happened. Before Sunset (at least the part I saw) is more intense, powerful, and full of turmoil.
It's interesting to see how much the two actors changed. They both look like dried prune in Sunset. In Sunrise, Ethan Hawk looks innocent, a bit awkward and like Selene said: cute. And Julie ?? is just so fresh in Sunrise - like a peach in its early prime. She looks so .... juicy. I almost feel the urge to pinch her face just to feel her wonderful texture. [Is this borderline psychopath? : )]
There are two scenes in the movie I particularly like: where they did the fake phone calls; where they sat at the base of a fountain on the second morning.
And of course I loved the poem too. Wouldn't that be wonderful that somebody wrote you a poem? So darn romantic. (Here I pose daydreaming...)
If I have to use one word to describe Before Sunrise: surreal.
Daydream delusion
Limousine Eyelash
Oh, baby with your pretty face
Drop a tear in my wineglass
Look at those big eyes
See what you mean to me
Sweet cakes and milkshakes
I am a delusioned angel
I am a fantasy parade
I want you to know what I think
Don't want you to guess anymore
You have no idea where I came from
We have no idea where we're going
Launched in life
Like branches in the river
Flowing downstream
Caught in the current
I'll carry you
You'll carry me
That's how it could be
Don't you know me
Don't you know me by now
