Good Imagination

On the way to daycare, while we were listening to Richard Marks “I Will Be Right Here Waiting for You”, Olivia said to me:

“Mommy, when I listen to slow lovey or rock’n roll songs, I always think about High School Musical, you know on Disney channel. It is like a movie in my mind. It is funny I think like that.”

Huh? “I am sorry, honey, I do not think I understand what you are trying to say.”

She laughed and actually looked shy for a second, “I do not know what I am saying, I do not know how else to put it.”

“No,” I encouraged, “Let’s try it again. What are you trying to tell me?”

“Well, when I listen to slow and lovey songs, I imagine it is the Disney characters are singing. The song is like a movie in my mind and I make up dance moves for the characters when they are singing. I think it is funny.”

“See, now I get it.  It is funny to imagine Disney characters singing Richard Marks but that’s a pretty good imagination.”

PS: When asked how old he would be on his next birthday, Evan said: “I am going to be 99 and big hot wheel boy.”
