Oliver's Dream at Six
Today Olivia and I had a serious talk about her dream.
She came to my bed this morning and said:" Mom, all I can think about now is how I can be on TV."
"Oh, why?" I asked. I recalled that recently there was a commercial on Disney channel to award some kids to go to Hollywood to have a party with the twin child actors Zach and Cody and Olivia had eagerly expressed her wish to go many times.
"I really wanted to be on the talent show on TV to show other people the stuff I built, the pictures I drew and the pictures I took so people can watch me on TV. I really want to show people my talent." She told me.
"Being on TV is really hard as you have to have real talent that people want to see. What talent do you think you can show other people?" I asked on purpose.
"Well, I am very good at arts, like building stuff like that club house I built for your birthday (using Legos), I am very good at drawing. My friends call me artist and I like to take pictures."
Well, I like her positive thinking.
"I have been practicing doing art work so that I can be on TV," she continued.
"It is very good that you are practicing and I know you enjoy doing art work. Keep on practicing and maybe one day you will be on TV to show people the stuff you make." I encouraged her.
"So mommy, can I and Evan, since Evan helps me making stuff, pretend we are on TV at our house and show you and Daddy what we made? Like you and Daddy are the audience and me and Evan are the actors?" she asked.
"Sure, honey! Anytime!"
