main attraction for JASO is its future capacity and margin

We plan to construct four additional manufacturing lines in our planned new facilities in
Shanghai to increase our total rated manufacturing capacity to 175 MW per annum by the end
of the third quarter of 2007. Jinglong Group has agreed to set up new wafer production
facilities to supply our planned Shanghai facilities in an adjacent location in Shanghai.

Since commencement of commercial operations, our monthly production output has grown from
approximately 0.6 MW in April 2006 to approximately 4.5 MW in September 2006,
and we manufactured approximately 5.6 MW, 5.0 MW and 6.4 MW in October, November and December 2006,
respectively.

We became profitable within three months after we commenced commercial operations in April 2006.
We generated revenues of RMB 347.1 million (US$43.9 million) and net income of RMB 55.0 million
(US$7.0 million) in the nine months ended September 30, 2006.

As of September 30, 2006, we had an annual module manufacturing capacity of 59.8 megawatts (MW).
We expect to increase our total annual module manufacturing capacity to 75 MW by the end of 2006
and to 150 MW by the end of 2007. We currently use toll manufacturers by providing wafers to them
and receiving solar cells from them in return. From time to time, we also sell a portion of our
ingots to toll manufacturers and purchase wafers from them in return. Such wafers are converted
into solar cells using the toll manufacturers’ own technology. Toll manufacturing is a type of
contract manufacturing frequently used in the solar power industry whereby part of the manufacturing
process is outsourced to qualified third parties, or toll manufacturers. The raw materials used by
toll manufacturers are usually supplied by the originating company in order to control sourcing quality.
We will complete our vertical integration strategy with the addition of our own solar cell plant, which
will have an initial annual manufacturing capacity of 50 MW and is expected to be fully operational b
y mid-2007. As we expand into solar cell manufacturing, we are developing the process technologies to
manufacture solar cells in-house. We may also consider partnering with solar cell manufacturers in
developing process technologies to manufacture, cost-effectively and on a large scale, solar cells
with high conversion efficiencies.

We began our research and development efforts in solar products in 1999. In 2002, we
began our system integration business, and in late 2004 we began our current solar module
business. In 2005 and the nine months ended September 30, 2006, we had net revenues of
$27.3 million and $75.7 million, respectively, and net income of $3.2
million and $8.8 million, respectively, from our continuing operations.
