睿ma recommended LEAPFROG DVDs at COSTCO for 6.99 each.

Thanks 睿ma for sharing the experience. COSTCO has all 5 DVDs, and sell each for 6.99. We had the "letter factory" as my son's 2nd birthday from a neighbour who highly recommended it, but since we also had the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics® Magnetic Set from his 1st birthday, so he was more interested in the interactive old toy rather than the new DVD. The DVD seems to have the same informaiton, so I just put the DVD away. I discovered that he knows all the 26 letters a couple months ago (I did not teach him and his daycare probably has not started on teaching that yet either, he is 2 and half now), so I was struggling to find a new way to progress him to learn words and reading, until I saw 睿ma's post. When I got back from work Friday night, I let my son watched the letter factory, and he enjoyed it. Yesterday, I went to COSTCO and found all 5 of them, so I bought the remaining 4. I am crossing my fingers that he will enjoy the rest of them as the first one.

A colleague of mine (her son is very smart, now in college, he started to read very early, aound 3) gave me an advice to teach my son to read as early as possible. When a child starts to read by himself, he will find a new world and a new way of learning.
