从你给出的连接中没有见到有关"原来毕业于上海第一医科大学的陈建"之说。
原文:
"The gunman, Dr. Jian Chen, a medical resident of one year, had come from medical school in Shanghai to work at the UW Medical Center"。
"UW personnel said Chen -- who was in his mid 30s and whose family lives in Taiwan -- was very qualified on paper: He held doctorate and medical degrees and had published several papers"。

You know how it was, and how it could affect the chinese people who were working there, and even those chinese who later on apply to the Path Program in UW.

具体我不太清楚, 但是有一些当时在做病理住院医师的中国人知道他的, 其中也有上海医科大学的校友。 你看看我这个 link 中这篇文章上写的: The gunman, Dr. Jian Chen, a medical resident of one year, had come from medical school in Shanghai to work at the UW Medical Center.
Chen Jian was in the Pathology Residency Program in University of Mississippi before he went to UW.

I started the residency program at UW two days after this event. About a year later, a Chinese grad student at UW had some heated exchange with his advisor. Immediately a restraining order was issued against him, and warning posters with his photos were plastered all over the place. I could help feeling that there was racial profiling against him.
