34. Retirement and Legacy
Last Thursday, the founder of our company retired and we had a big retirement party to celebrate his decorated career and say goodbye to this beloved leader and mentor. While he and his wife sat there peacefully, several of his long-time colleagues recounted one by one some of the most important and challenging events they had gone through together. In the end, he also said a few words, modestly attributing the continued growth of the company to the team. Suddenly, the word "legacy" came into my mind. Indeed, although he was retiring, he was also leaving us a rich legacy and a solid foundation for a better future. We sincerely wish him an enjoyable and satisfying life after retirement.
