I love the way she sings this song and love her voice - the best version, even better than Michael Buble's. Way to go Bruni!

dear 九月, i am totally with you. once i was trying to do a book club with my daughter, but i was always the one who fell behind. reading seems like a luxury for us given our crazy daily schedules, and i like to read 2 or 3 books at the same time. hehe....
happy reading on "fifty shades of grey". there's no such thing as a bad book. hehe... i remember when i was reading "american wife", i was amazed about how it is so descriptive of the erotic details... and i loved it...lol...
i try not to read fictions these day. the last one i read was "heart of the matter" by emily giffin. love reading her books. "love the one you're with" is a good one as well. :)
have a good weekend!

Dear 素锦:your suggestion of starting a book club is fantastic! My limitation is time though, the only spare time I got in my hand is when I took bus to/back from work... with the time constraint, it usually would take me about 3-4 weeks to finish one book,I doubt whether I can catch up the book club speed?~~~
Well, guess what, don't laugh at me,lately I'm starting the "Fifty Shades of Grey" ,I know it's a "bad" book, it's not in my planned reading list, but last year one of my guy friends mentioned about it,lately one of my workout partners also recommendeded it,heard Hollywood would turn it into a movie soon... well, but anyways,no excuses,I'm start reading last week, haven't got to the terrible part yet,I'm not sure whether I'll have a stomach for it?~~~
Thanks much for the www.leanin.org,I'll check on it this weekend!~~~
"hahaha, that story indeed made me feel a lot better,I told myself, see, even Sandberg had her weak moments..."
haha, i remember she was telling Oprah that she was embarrassed when her name was on the Forbes World Most Powerful Woman list. people kept saying "congratulations" and she'd say "don't talk about it." finally her assistant took her aside and said " you are handling this terribly. you deserve to be on that list. you are showing everyone how insecure you are."
haha, 九月, you should feel even better now.... we are all human beings and we all have our own moments sometimes.
it seems we read the same books all the time cuz when you wrote about the My beloved World by Sotomayor, i just finished reading it; i just mentioned Lean In to my friend in silicon valley and here you are :) check out the www.leanin.org. it's very resourceful as well.
seriously thinking we should start a book club so we could share more our beloved books...:)
Sandberg is one of my favorite ladies,no doubt! Lately I've been reading her book "Lean In" as well, like her book so much, almost every piece she discussed I could share her feelings/experiences, I went through it and am still going through it... talking about "sit at the table", talking about "success and likeability", talking about "it's a jungle gym not a ladder"...
A few weeks ago, one day after an exhausting and "self-defeated" working day,I ran to catch up the last bus in the dark raining night, when I finally sat down and took a deep breath, instead of closing my eyes and rest, I took out my kindle book and tried to get some "breeze" from Sandberg, guess what I read, it's the story about how she was so frustrated and "cried on Mark Zuckerberg's shoulder" (well, the truth was Zuckerberg asked her will it make her feel better if he gave her a hug at that moment?...),hahaha,that story indeed made me feel a lot better,I told myself, see, even Sandberg had her weak moments... :-)
To manage a demanding career and to be a constantly "guilt" wife and mother,it's still a challenge to today's many ambitious working women...I'm grateful that Sandberg wrote that book to share her experience and insights... Your daughter is very lucky that you're instilling these kind of thoughts and wisdom in her young mind!
