Q. I’ve been following your explanation of the coming 70th week and the second coming, and wonder…is it possible that there will be a length of time between the Rapture and the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week?

A. There is no direct connection binding the Rapture and the 70th Week together. The Rapture could happen at any moment, but the 70th week has to wait for the Battle of Ezekiel 38-39.  It’s Ezekiel’s battle that awakens Israel to God’s presence in their national life and begins the events that will kick-off the 70th Week (Ezekiel 39:6-8).

Ezekiel’s Battle And Daniel’s 70th Week

I have a time line problem with the Ezekiel 38 battle and the advent of the Antichrist. How do these two events relate to each other?

Q. I have a time line problem with the Ezekiel 38 battle and the advent of the Antichrist. How this two events relate to each other? What confuse me is, that the Jews will burn the weapons 7 years long after this battle and they will be preoccupied with the burials too. If this battle will kick off the 70th week of Daniel and/or around this time will the AC appear with his 7 year peace treaty, than there will be no time to burn this weapons 7 years long because after 3 and a half years, the Jews will flee.

Because of the 7 years long weapon burning, I don’t think this battle will occur after the AC’s peace treaty or am I wrong? And the Bible says Israel will feel herself safe when the Ezekiel 38 battle begin. But current political events seems to set the stage for the peace treaty, not the Ezekiel battle.(It’s true that this battle’s participants are here and forming too.)And without this peace treaty I couldn’t imagine that they would feel safe in any degree. So,I’m very confused.

A. The seven year treaty that the anti-Christ brings is not the one that sets the stage for Ezekiel’s Battle. It’s the one that begins Daniel’s 70th Week. Daniel’s 70th Week is 7 years long, so the weapons can burn for the entire time. And remember, only the believing remnant of Israel will flee into the desert at the 3.5 year mark. The rest will remain.

It’s true that current events don’t seem to be leading Israel to a time of peace, but things are happening very rapidly and only God knows how this will unfold.

I personally believe that Ezekiel’s battle is a little time in the future yet. There could be many treaties in the mean time and one could bring a false peace to Israel, preparing the way for Ezekiel’s Battle.

Questioning The Placement Of Ezekiel’s Battle

You mentioned that the Rapture is the First event, then the Battle of Gog and then the 70th Week of Daniel, but why should not the 70th Week begin before the Battle of Gog and not after it?

Q. I Write to you to comment on (Seven Things You have to know…) concerning the Sequence of Major Events of the Last Days.

You mentioned that the Rapture is the First event, then the Battle of Gog and then the 70th Week of Daniel, but why should not the 70th Week begin before the Battle of Gog and not after it?

I will tell you why I think that the First Event (after the Rapture) is the 70th Week rather than the the Battle of Ezekiel.

1-According to Daniel 9:27 the First Event is emerging of the Beast, making Peace Treaty.

2-In Revelation 5 we See the Church raptured, then comes Chapter 6 which speaks of the First Events After the Rapture namely the Emergence and Peace Treaty of the Beast (First Seal), then comes the second Seal which speaks of War and the Peace being taken which is the Battle of Ezekiel 38. If we say that the Battle of Gog comes before the Peace Treaty, then we will have problem comparing Scriptures with Scriptures.

3-In Ezekiel 38:11 we see (And thou shalt say, I will Go up to the Land of unwalled villages; I will Go to them that Are at Rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without Walls, and having neither Bars nor gates). That is because of the Treaty with the Beast.

4-In 1.Thessalonians 5:3( For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, As travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape) this Peace is the false Peace Treaty of the Beast.

A. I base my placement of the Ezekiel 38 battle before the 70th week on the fact that Daniel 9:27 indicates that a Temple has been built and sacrifice and offering are taking place by the middle of the week. Due to the extreme negative reaction this would cause in the Arab world, two things have to happen first.

1) the Jews have to be united in wanting a Temple regardless of the consequences. This is not the case today, but will be at the end of Ezekiel’s battle, since God uses it to re-introduce Himself to Israel and bring them back into a covenant relationship, requiring a Temple.

2) the Arabs have to be in no position to resist, as they will only be after being soundly defeated in Ezekiel’s battle.

By the way, there’s no Scripture that ties the red horse of Revelation 6 to Ezekiel 38. Neither can the peace of 1 Thes. 5:3 be linked to the peace of Ezekiel 38.

But the idea that the anti-Christ comes on the white horse and brings a false peace is sound. Logic says, however, that no peace treaty would be necessary unless there had just been a war. This prior war comes after the Rapture (Rev. 4-5) and before the anti Christ is revealed (Rev.6) and is, I believe, Ezekiel’s battle.
