Annually in all patients with diabetes aged ≥6 mos

Pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine
• All patients with diabetes aged ≥2 yrs
• Aged >65 yrs: one-time revaccination if vaccine administered>5 yrs prior
• Repeat vaccination for those with nephrotic syndrome, chronic renal disease, other immunocompromised states
Hepatitis B vaccine
• Unvaccinated adults with diabetes aged 19-59 yrs
• Consider in unvaccinated adults aged ≥60 yrs
