中岛乔治的木艺 ( 3 )

中岛乔治的作品不仅珍藏在很多人的家里，而且他有一个梦想，为地球上七大洲的每一个洲提供“和平的祭坛”， 七张巨大的象征和平的桌子，象征把 世界各洲所有的人包容聚集起来友爱和平地生活。 

中岛乔治20世纪80年代中期开始建造第一个和平祭坛，巨大的核桃树做成12英尺长和宽的壮观的大桌子，约一吨重。第一个“和平祭坛”于1986年被奉献和安装在纽约市神圣圣约翰大教堂。

至今，和平祭坛已经被奉献和安装在美国的纽约、俄国的莫斯科、印度的爱络村，安置在南非开普敦的和平祭坛正在建造中。
