I had a surprise lunch today and it was surprisely good.
I found a plate of spaghetti and a bowl of meat ball sause by the stove, big enough for one person, not enough for two. I thought to myself why the serving is so small. I glanced at the dinner table , my high sophomore was enjoying his lunch, the same lunch. I realized that he must had prepared all this by himself, and asked if I could have it. He gladly said "sure, and tell me what you think about the sause". It was good, a bit sour.
Half way through the lunch, he said he forgot his Texas toast to go with it. He got up and prepared two pieces of toast for us one for each each of us. After I finished his share of toast, he eyed the one still in the plate, and asked if I still wanted it. I said "I will have half".
Hours later, his mom came home and wondered how and where he found the materials for it.
