Emotions on a Friend Returing Her Hometown

Emotions on a Friend  Returing Her Hometown
by Jingyu
Translated by Christopher Tai

Inscription: Many of the thoughts and emotions of life come from the fact that we can never turn back, and we also have to go the final destination, whether known or unknown, with the wheel of time. Everyone's life is mixed with all emotions.

Already thousands of miles away from home
Though the shadow of missing you is behind me
it only stretches longer with time

Walking on that familiar street
Run into the one who once was full of sunshine
The thoughts that followed
Spread in the wind of homeland garden
Like those grass seeds we once planted

Using the one stroke which was not written well
to comb the tangle of the past
where things remain but people change
Trying to reconcile
in the dust of reality

Suddenly, a different definition in life is found
My hometown is
Years of winter and summer memories
My homeland is
The past that I thought was long forgotten
