What an incredible true story! I was born and raised in Japan as a Korean and moved to the United States in search of freedom. In Japan, Koreans have to be discriminated against and live as a second class, but I thought I wanted to be free since I was a kid, so I'm really glad I moved to U.S. Li made a really tremendous effort, he became a global ballet dancer, and when I wondered if his family and teacher had been killed, but they suddenly appeared and my tears couldn't stop. That was amazing he was able to stay in America with the help of Elizabeth, Ben, and everyone else. I have a similar experience, and I'm so grateful for the help of my ex-husband also.

The opening immediately brought me back to my childhood in China, and vividly refreshed all my memories. Such a beautiful movie. Freedom is never free to get and keep it with us.

I have always admired Chinese folklore, history, art and culture. Our stories are are what bind us together, our history is there to teach us, our culture to center us and our art to elevate us. Beautifully done!

I looked up a movie in my feed, "Breaker Morant" (1980). The director of that was Bruce Beresford, and in his credits this movie was listed as also directed by him. Looked THAT movie up, and... 5 stars on Rotten Tomatoes, 4 on IMDB. Watched the trailer. Here I am. Gorgeous movie, the choreography was stunning!

In the interview re the Kennedy Center deal it shows his face close up speaking & I feel strong holiness from him. 1:36:00 is the time, It's a sort of 'gives me goose bumps' feeling for me. I notice that a lot of the Chinese people here seem saintly or close to God, especially in his village of the poor farmers.
