基本上,意思跟和合本的翻译差不多。
我个人的翻译如下:我黑,耶路撒冷的女子却可爱/美丽,【两者的对照】就像基达的帐篷之于所罗门的幔子!
基达的帐篷是黑的,一般认为是用駱駝毛作的,如果真是这样,它就是不洁净的(利十一4)。无论如何,它颜色单调不可愛,一点都不悦人眼目。
但所罗门的幔子却不同,它是用蓝色线、紫色线、朱红色线和细麻织成的;并且还绣上基路伯的形像,无论是材料还是做工都很讲究,图案也是非常美丽,而且尽显高贵。
如果我的翻译是对的,那么舒拉密女在这里表达的完全是自卑,她自惭形秽,她觉得跟耶路撒冷的女子相比,简直就是一个乡巴佬——丑陋,低下,卑微;不像耶路撒冷的女子美丽、尊贵、荣耀。
