Chief Financial Officer
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the CFO is responsible for the financial and risk management functions of the Guild, a nonprofit labor organization. As a key Guild executive, the CFO participates in development of the Guild’s overall financial strategy, including assessment of operational efficiency and maintenance of internal controls over the Guild’s functions and initiatives.
Director, Member Organizing
The Director of Member Organizing is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for internal and external organizing campaigns to support the priorities of the elected Board of Directors, increase the Guild’s leverage and expand the Guild’s jurisdiction.
General Counsel
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the General Counsel is the chief legal officer representing the Guild. The General Counsel provides overall strategic direction in all legal matters involving the Guild. This position provides advice on, among other areas, labor and employment-related matters, regulatory matters, contract enforcement, negotiating strategy, risk assessment and compliance.
Payroll Staff Accountant
Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Payroll Staff Accountant is responsible for administering all aspects of payroll, provides management support for day to day accounting functions, financial reporting and analysis.
Representative/Organizer
The Representative/Organizer is responsible for activating Guild members and recruiting and developing over members to support the priorities of the elected Board of Directors, increase the Guild’s leverage and expand the Guild’s jurisdiction.
Residuals Claims Representative
Under the supervision of the Residuals Collections Administrator, the Residuals Claims Representative is responsible for investigating and pursuing claims for unpaid residuals. The Residuals Department ensures that writers are paid residuals due pursuant to the residual provisions of the WGA Basic Agreements from 1953 to present.
