Kelly Lynn Loeffler(/?l?fl?r/LEF-l?r; born November 27, 1970) is an American businesswoman and politician who has served as the 28thadministrator of the Small Business Administrationsince February 20, 2025. A member of theRepublican Party, she previously served as aUnited States senatorfromGeorgiafrom 2020 to 2021.

Loeffler was born inBloomington, Illinois, to Don and Lynda (ne Munsell) Loeffler, and raised on her familys corn andsoybeanfarm inStanford, Illinois.[7][8]She has a brother, Brian.[9]In 1988, she graduated fromOlympia High Schoolin Stanford, where she was in the marching band, ran cross-country and track, and played varsity basketball.[10]
In 1992, Loeffler graduated with aBachelor of Scienceinmarketingfrom theUniversity of Illinois at UrbanaChampaignsGies College of Business, where she was a member of theAlpha Gamma Deltasorority.[11]After college, she worked forToyotaas a district account manager.[12][13]In 1999, Loeffler graduated with aMaster of Business Administration(MBA) in international finance and marketing fromDePaul UniversitysKellstadt Graduate School of Business.[8][11]She financed her graduate school tuition by mortgaging land inherited from her grandparents.[8]
