A couple of days ago, while we were driving pass an empty field from daycare to home, both Evan and I noticed the beautiful sunset on the horizon. The sky around the sun was enriched with an intense reddish orange color which was breathtaking.
"Look! Mom! It's a planet!" Evan exclaimed.
"What planet?" I was surprised that he would call the sun a planet.
"It's Mars!" he told me, very excited.
I tried to explain to him what he saw was the sun not the Mars although I really didn't know why he didn't know what sunset was. He wouldn't listen but instead explained to me that the colors of the sun and the Mars were different and since there was so much orange color to it, it must be the Mars on the horizon, not the sun.
By the way, on a totally different subject, Evan also firmly believes at this point of time that one's brain is inside one's tummy instead of his/her head. And that's where his "hot dog is good for your brain" theory came from:)
