Market Got Lost.

Are people leaving town for the holiday already?

The volumn is just anemic. So, any move by a single big player will have a magnified ripple effect. Plus, people become so jumpy lately, many trades probably are sell first and asking question late kind of trades.

With many players are sidelined, it is hard to tell exactly where the market is heading, which is a good thing, since at least it is not heading down. Even though, the market has not gotten its grove back, this pause may have a calming effect on the investors.

The inflation data helps as well, and probably continue to be helpful for next two days.

Maybe we will have a period of range bound trading up to the thanksgiving, and then FED watching is counting down. If we are luck with some good earning news from HPQ, DELL etc, the famous Santa rally may still be materialized.

There are uncertainties of course, the firstmost is the future earning. The late selling of some high-fly tech companys is unsettling, since that means people are still taking the profit and there is no confidence of earning growth.

On the contrary, financials are finally reached a point that further downward move seems unlikly -- at least for now. Maybe a buying opportunities finally are here (gs, leh, jpm, xlf etc).

With inflation new from china( I am sure Indian will follow the suites as well ), agriculture seems be able to enjoy the defiance of late market tumoil, that probably is a good place to hide your money if market go sour, and enjoy a ride if market go higher. ((pot, mon etc).
