Alvin came to us on Friday Jan 30, 2009. We first found him on petfinder.com, and through the website we got in touch with the Pet Union Project. Alvin was resecued from Georgia, his mother is a lab-mixed, but we don't know his father (might be a border collie based on the marks that he has). He was borned on Nov 24, 2008, and was approximately 11 lbs at the time that we brought him home.
It took Alvin one day to figure out how to run up and down the stairs, he likes to sit on the bottom of the stairway and watch us walking by.
Neal has been diligently taking care of Alvin - usually every 2 to 3 hours he takes him out for "bathroom", and 30-45 mins after each meal. Alvin eats 3 meals a day, 1/2 cup of puppy food each meal. He weights about 13 lbs today when we weighted him today at Kathy's.
Alvin also goes to the doggie day care twice last week. It is just accross the street frorm our house. He likes to play with other dogs. Everytime he came home from the day care, he would be exhausted and slept through the night (which meant that Neal did not have to get up and take him out at 2am in the morning). :-)
Today we took Alvin to the nearby outlet for a walk - he loved it, and of course he got all the attention he could get as a cute puppy! He is such a "people" dog - he loves everyone that comes near him. I wish i could post some of his pictures today, but i could not - guess I have to do some homework on how to do this later..
