前一阵读到这个故事,很有感触,想要和大家分享,可怎么也找不到那个邮件了.就转述一下吧.
一个女人乘飞机旅行,时间尚早,于是买了一包她最喜欢的曲奇,预备到登机口的座位坐下一面读书,一面享用.
女人沉浸在书本里,过了一会儿才发现,旁边不知什么时候坐了一个男人,也在读书.奇怪的是他不慌不忙地开始吃她放在旁边的曲奇,女人简直不敢相信自己的眼睛.更不可置信的是女人每拿一块,他也不失时机地拿一块.女人心里气愤极了,天下怎么会有这样无耻的人,招呼也不打就心安理得地吃别人的东西!很想质问他,但是修养使她压着怒气和厌恶没有做声.
就这样,你一块,我一块地,随着时间过去,曲奇一点点少下去,女人觉得自己简直遇到了一个无赖,心里充满了鄙视.
当她拿起倒数第二块饼干时,心想,我倒要看看他能无耻到什么地步,会不会吃这最后一块.她的余光看到那男人居然真的伸手拿了最后的那块曲奇,心里几乎气得要爆炸了.出乎她意料之外的是,那个男人拿过那块曲奇,把它掰成两半,然后微笑着递给她半块.此时,女人真的是哭笑不得了.
飞机起飞,到了指定高度开始平稳起来.女人又读一会儿书,读到好的地方,想要做些笔记.她打开皮包取笔,顿时惊呆了,脸一下子变得通红.
里面有一包未开封的曲奇饼.
她羞愧难当,原来那个无耻的人是她自己.而那个男人,却毫无鄙视她的神气,他还把最后一块饼干微笑着分给她一半!
我想,一般人的反应多数都会和这个女人一样,至多忍着厌恶默不作声;而这个世上,也有像那个男人那样的人,他们对别人心存宽容,尊重,和爱心,无论在怎样的情况下.
基督精神原是这样的.
If this story is indeed some lady's personal experience, I'd think that she is a very gracious and congenial person.
It is true that her presumption was wrong, but she was still able to keep her calmness and cultivation intact without letting her irritation make her a vicious lout.
Supposing you were her's shoes, I guess you could hold your tongue as well.
As per the guy who was sharing his cookies kindly and generously, I believe he could do a notch better by offering her a bottle of water to wash down the cookies. :)
You know it is a shame though 'cause they just walked away from this interesting encounter. They should have gotten together after this incidents and share a pleasant meal or more. :))
To me, one of this story's moral is that we all live a relatively short life in a small world, it would be unwise and wasteful to be angry, argumentative, aggressive or antagonistic over some small stuffs. Moreover, a tender heart and amiable personality go all the way. Do you agree ?
