Christmas is always the best time of the year, good one or otherwise.
When I was in science, I looked forward to the holidays and got Christmas blue on January 2nd. Holiday was happy days followed by sadness.
Then the medical camp started. Holidays no longer mattered. All it mattered was which days I could be off. The cheerfulness ignored me.
Later things slowly changed. Now I finally came around and began to appreciate holidays again. I look forward to them because the music and everything about it makes me happy, or, should I say, happier. I know nothing is gonna change, except perhaps some memories, with or without, either way. When they are gone, I am quite alright, and continue to look forward to the next one.
Some day I will make myself a mixed tape of all the favorite Christmas songs. Let the jingle bells ring, let it snow, let me be happy, and let it be.
