It's hard to believe that it's the time to celebrate our much cherished Chinese New Year again.
I remember two years ago , few days before the CNY, many net friends and I in this visual city gathered at A Su's place, beating the drum to throw ourselves a stone-soup styled holiday party with individual offering - our unique personal apprized CNY experiences which were unmistakably drenched with nostalgia, affection and happiness associated with our beloved heritage and love ones along on our linkages.
Time really flies, doesn't it. But, on the other hand, time wasn't running empty on us. As the matter of fact, it actually yielded abundant fruits . For example, during past two years, our friends, 阳光mm and 雨丝mm, each of them brought a healthy child to this world, one sweet girl and one strong boy. Further, all of us who participated our net CNY celebrations have been doing very well in almost all of the aspects of life. It includes me. Although I don't have any offspring yet, but other than that, I have held myself alright. I guess, either the holiday spirits or our friendship may have actually played an integral role in our success stories.
Tonight when I was trying to writing down my thoughts, I couldn't help but smile. Those words that I wrote and the comments responded by friends during CNY times at the friends blogs were so vivid that as if it were just yesterday. It's true we will all get old someday, some of us even might develop certain dementia, but it does not matter because our celebrations of CNY have not only rewarded our palates, but also encouraged us to live our lives fuller across the time and spaces way beyond its original context.
With my full heart, I wish each and every my net friends a Happy Chinese New Year and wonderful and joyful days ahead!

You are right. My observation is that there indeed are some people who have very little patience or tolerance to handle the differences between theirs and others. Oftentimes , they turn negative and bashful as a only way out when their views of life are slightly eclipsed.
What we can do is, I think, is to recognize their valid points and show kindness and openmindedness. Given time, some of these "combative militants" or "zealous patriots" may become reasonably peaceful and constructive. :)
I have visited New Orleans few times and had drinks in many of bars there including some well-known Jazz clubs, if you'd ever go, I can give some my recommendation if you don't mind.
