我们部门有十来个人，分别来自四大洲的九个国家：贝宁, 加拿大，中国，刚果，法国，摩洛哥，尼日尔，突尼斯和委内瑞拉。
There are about ten people in my department. We came from nine countries of four continents: Benin, Canada, China, Congo, France, Morocco, Niger, Tunisia, and Venezuela.

Today we had a potluck to enjoy traditional dishes from different countries. This was the menu:
开始是两种沙拉，然后有五道主菜，两种甜点，水果拼盘。饮料是薄荷茶和果汁。
We started with two kinds of salads, then five main dishes, two kinds of desserts. Also there was a fruit plate, mint tea and juice.
这道是摩洛哥传统的塔吉锅牛肉，真是色香味俱佳。
Tajine beef is a traditional morocco dish. It is not only delicious, but also very well presented.
这道也是摩洛哥的特色菜：pastilla 。 它是里面是海鲜的一种馅饼。

这道烤羊肉也很美味。上面的装饰简单又好看。

Quesillo 是委内瑞拉的传统甜点。口感细滑，不腻，很好吃。
Quesillo is a traditional Venezuelan dessert. It tastes smooth and light. Yami!
这是布列塔尼西梅蛋糕。布列塔尼位于法国的西北部，曾是一个独立的国家，有自己的语言和服饰。布列塔尼的传统语言是布列塔尼语，但是这种语言现在面临消亡。
This is Far Breton. Breton is in the north west of France. It was a country long time ago. It has its own language and culture. The language is now facing extinction.
美食一道接一道，大家吃得好开心。最后，再吃点水果，喝点薄荷茶，聊聊天。
One nice dish after another, we had such a good time. At the end, we chatted while enjoying fruit, mint tea and juice.
和不同背景的人聊天是件有趣的事，因为我总是能学到新的知识：历史，地理，文化或宗教。接触的人越多，我越觉得世界很大，人与人是多么得不同。我们这些人从世界各地聚到一起也是很难道的。最难得的是我们彼此尊重，和谐相处。
It is so much fun to talk with people from different background. I am learning something new each time. The more I get to know different people, the more I realize how different people can be. What is the odd that we all came to Canada and working in the same office? It is really nice that we all respect each other’s culture and religion and work together in harmony.
