A Shadow at dawn
Once, in the darkest darkness,
Your eyes led me with the brightest light.
Once, in the saddest sadness,
Your hands lifted me with the lightest kite.
Once, in the maddest madness,
Your heart soothed me with the merriest delight.
And now, I summon, all those gone moments, no matter how brief,
Console me through the unendurable night of grief.
And dawn, I pray, lends me peace in the shadow,
Shed by your soul, eternally gentle and aglow.
