上周参加芝加哥的国标大赛，  Chicago Harvest Moon Ball DanceSport Championships，

 

国标舞，分 Ballroom and Latin. 我个人认为比赛中的 Ballroom Dance 应该翻为 “宫廷舞”， 而不再是交谊舞。

宫廷舞和拉丁分“国标式”与“美式”： “国标”International Standard，与美式最大的区别在于双方手臂不能分离, 脚不能离地。 美式是自由式， 因为手臂可分离， 脚可离地，因而飞天走地， 手舞足蹈的大幅度动作更为花俏。

Beautiful updo of the hair and make-up. Did you do it yourself or is it a clip-on on the top? I watched your dance video. Good job! I love ballroom dancing, but never been to any competition.
