My big helper

On March 47 (I borrowed that from others) 2020, the 8th day of Shelter At Home, I decided to fix a leaking faucet that had been for months. As usual, I asked my high schooler to help me. Along the way, I pointed several things or mistakes that I used to make and am still making, for example, not coverring the drain, not noting the existing arrangement etc. He was quite receptive in his words, though his action is slow in catching up.  Prior to starting this project, I showed them the location of main water shut-off.

Every thing went smoothly until I brought home a new part, a Pressure Balancing  Unit. The part fits perfectly but its front plate has a different shape than the existing one. After much struggle, I asked for help from my son again before I go back to the store and return it.  Within minutes, he proposed that the new part be taken apart and reuse the front plate. The plan worked. Saved a trip.
