There are many small children in my neighborhood, whom I don't see often in cold seasons, but who appear suddenly on the streets in late springs, summers and early falls. They are so cute, innocent and joyful as well as could they be careless. People have to drive watchfully to look out for them. At times, a tiny figure could dart out from nowhere right in front of your driving direction after a ball or a dog or another child running away in a chasing game. Their unawareness of an oncoming vehicle would sometimes be better than their alertness. They could become panic, and then lose the ability of making up a quick, decisive mind as soon as they see an approaching vehicle. They could be so panic that they run toward the curb on one side of the street, then suddenly turning around toward the opposite curb, and ultimately freeze in the middle of the road, staring right into the oncoming vehicle.
