Chinese Children Prefer Japanese Cartoons

At a recent forum on cartoons held in Qingdao, Shandong province it was announced that there are about 500 million cartoon readers in China.

Abt 60% of them are aged 14-17. 30% are over 18 years old. This is usually when Americans stop reading.

I asked a Japanese friend once, "Why do adults in Japan read manga (cartoons)? Aren't cartoons for kids?"ghost in the shell.jpg

She asked me,"Why do you still eat sweets? Aren't sweets for kids?"
