When a person is born wealthy, he/she is called "born with a silver spoon."
My Adam is 4 months old. He is truely a big baby now. He weighs 17-13 and is 27 inches, both are at 95 percentile. The other day I took him to shopping. This lady who approached me was with her son as well. The boy was very cute but looked only a couple weeks old to me. I was thinking "wow, Adam was with me at home for the whole month" when I asked how old her son was. Surprisingly, She said he was 5 month old. He is older than my Adam!! When I told the lady that my son was only 4 month, she was very surprised too. Then I learned that her son is on the 20 percentile...wow, it is a big difference! hehe, maybe I should be proud that I did a good job by taking a good care of my Adam.:)
Maybe because he is a big baby, he is always hungry at night. He used to wake up twice to eat. However, lately, he woke up more often and up to 6 times per night. Thus, even the doctor states that it will be better for us to wait till he is 5 month to add solid to his diet, we still decide to do it now.
New things are always exciting. Even though we know rice cereal is the first solid we should do, I still went to internet to do my dd. Things are different in China, my sister in law adds egg yolk first. But since Adam was born in USA and is using an American doctor, I better follow the rule here:) Only after getting the cereal, I realized that we didn't have a spoon for him. I guess we can just use the normal one to feed him. Well, no! At this point, I thought about the old saying. Yeah, I should buy a silver spoon for him. Eating solid is the first step for him to try real food and I wish all the best for him. It's a big step for my Adam and I need something special for that, something I can keep forever...hehe, so the silver spoon have different meanings here. It just showed a mother's love to her son.
