请教 STP 一个税务问题

在六七年前那疯狂的岁月里，我给孩子开了个custodian account，买了几个mutual funds，现在有两个 funds 合并了(liquidated one fund and transferred the proceeds into another)，于是就有了capital loss。 因为孩子现在还没有收入，请问 how to carry over this loss forward? 每年都必须给小孩报税吗？谢谢！
