Travel with a baby sometimes are very painful but enjoyble.
Here are some tips:
1) what need to be packed:
Allmost everything!:)
- Diaper bag: Diapers, a foldable plastic change mat, a refill pack of wet wipes, rash cream,a change of clothes for baby, hand sanitizer(for you), washcloth
- Your bag: disposable or regular bibs, bottles for baby/cup for toddler, formula powder with measure or suitable pre-mixed milk if you use it,a bottle of fresh drinking water, your baby's favourite soft toy, a couple of heat sensitive baby spoons, some wrapped toys to surprise your children with, First Aid Kit.
- Stroller and carseat, I am not sure if you purchased ticket for the baby, if you did, you could bring your car seat onto the airplane, but make sure it is FAA approved.
About Stroller and Car seat:
1)Find out whether the airline counts car seats and strollers as extra baggage.
2)Car seats and strollers can generally be gate checked.
Most airlines allow you to "gate check" strollers and car seats. This is a good option if you did not buy seats for the children. If you did not purchase the ticket for the baby, you could bring the carseats to the gate with you to wait for information on whether the flight is empty enough to take them on and use them in an empty seat. If there winds up being no room on the plane, you will have to "gate check" the seats because there is no room in the passenger cabin to store the seats during the flight. But it is not a big deal.
3)Find out where the airline returns gate-checked items.
Be aware that some airlines will bring gate checked items directly to the door of the plane, others leave them in baggage claim. This is especially important if you're depending on having a stroller to make a connecting flight.
Hope it helps and good luck
